I drank my pint of Wizard from Robinson's Brewery (they're the one that makes Trooper if you're wondering why you know the name) at The New Inn which is one of the best bars in Buxton. Robinson's are a pretty cool brewery with a nice rock vibe to both their beers and their pubs which I appreciate. Wizard is a 3.7% bitter that pours a nice clear amber with a small, but quite creamy head. The beers aroma is quite malt heavy with lots of earthy smells coming through.
Wizard has a slightly lighter than medium body which is drinkable, but not overly enjoyable. The taste is quite grainy, a little like drinking a couple of slices of bread. The bitter taste is pleasant enough, but really it's the grain tastes that are in control. Wizard from Robinson's Brewery isn't a bad beer, but to me it's a very one dimensional one so I can only really give it 5 out of 10.
