Welcome to the Drink in the Sights Parkway Brewing Co Urban Myth Beer Review. I do like to call into Home Bargains and pick up one of their seriously cheap ales from time to time so here we have Parkway Brewing Co Urban Myth which cost all of one whole pound. The beer comes in a not remotely attractive 500ml bottle and contains a not bad 4.7% alcohol. The brewery is based in Somerton, which is in Somerset, and frankly I know very little else about them. The beer pours a clearer than expected dark brown with a small tan lacing head. The aroma is quite none descript, there's some vague fruit notes and maybe some toffee, but beyond that there's very little, and they are faint.
Parkway Brewing Co Urban Myth not only looks lighter than expected, but it also feels lighter, it almost feels watered down, and sadly that's reflected in the taste. This isn't a beer with any real stand out flavours at all, it's got some none descript fruit notes, but nothing exciting going on at all. For a 4.7% beer it's really disappointing to be given something this lacking in flavour and texture. It's difficult to say it's a bad beer, it's just completely, as the kids put it, meh. I can only give Parkway Brewing Co Urban Myth 3 out of 10 because there's just not enough going on to warrant it been described as anything other than vaguely drinkable.
