Once I arrived at Lost in Leith, which is a Campervan Brewery pub I knew I had to try their 9.7% Campervan Brewery Lost in Leith Brett Old Ale. The brewery pub is one of the best bars in Leith which is the port district of Edinburgh, so it's where you go to see the Royal Yacht Britannia. The brewery have only been in operation since 2017 but I have a feeling they are going to do well. Campervan Brewery Lost in Leith Brett Old Ale pours a dark brown with some white lacing. There's a very strong aroma of dried fruit and spices, a little like you'd expect from a winter warmer ale.
Campervan Brewery Lost in Leith Brett Old Ale has a reasonably thick texture, and you can certainly taste the alcohol. It's not overpowering though. I'd best describe the taste as like a really nice port, it's full of dried fruit notes and spicy goodness. The thing is I love winter warmer beers, and I am pretty partial to a nice port every now again. I know this beer won't be for everyone, but it absolutely is one for me. I can honestly say I love Campervan Brewery Lost in Leith Brett Old Ale. 10 out of 10.
