I had this can of Brewdog Tony's Hopolonely on the train journey between Glasgow and Edinburgh, so we were very much in Brewdog territory. The beer comes in a very bright pink and blue 440ml can that states this is a 5.7% white chocolate & raspberry milkshake IPA. It certainly sounds interesting. As I was drinking on the train I have absolutely no idea what Brewdog Tony's Hopolonely looks like, or how well it pours I'm afraid, but given the beer type and description it's fair to say it wont be dark.
Brewdog Tony's Hopolonely has a strong fruity smell, with I think, some mango coming through more than the raspberry or the white chocolate. The texture is seriously thick, but that's what you tend to get with a milkshake IPA, it's drinkable though. Well I say it's drinkable, but it's not pleasant. It's a little like drinking the worse Haribo sweet in the packet, it's sweet, it's fruity, but it's just not right, and I have no idea where the white chocolate is hiding. 3 out of 10.
