It would have been rude to go to Edinburgh and not try a few Bellfield Brewery beers along the way. In this case we have Bellfield Brewery Lawless Village IPA. Bellfield Brewery is pretty much in Edinburgh city centre and has an excellent taproom. The brewery also makes all their beers gluten free, and Lawless Village IPA sticks to that rule. The beer pours a very clear golden amber with a seriously well lasting foamy white head. Even on tap this 4.5% IPA looks extremely lively. You'll get plenty of floral notes from the beers aroma, along with some citrus coming through afterwards.
Bellfield Brewery Lawless Village IPA has a nice light and refreshing texture as you'd expect from an IPA. You won't find anything unpleasant, or for that matter overly interesting in the taste. There's just the expected light floral and citrus notes you seem to find in 9 out of 10 IPA's these days. That said though Bellfield Brewery Lawless Village IPA is very drinkable so it deserves a very decent 7 out of 10.
