braga pubs: the best craft beer bars in braga
Welcome to the Drink in the Sights guide to the best bars in Braga, a complete craft beer in Braga pub crawl. Braga really is an exceptionally beautiful city with gorgeous parks and squares, and as it's the religious centre of Portugal plenty of lovely churches to wander around. There's certainly no lack of great looking pubs in Braga, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with getting a pint of Super Bock on one of the main squares and just drinking in the sights. This page is all about the craft beer pubs in Braga though, so there will be no Super Bock drank here, although as lagers go it's not actually that bad. Right so lets get on with this guide to the best pubs in Braga

Braga Bars
I doubt many guides to the best bars in Braga would start anywhere other than the wonderful Letraria Craft Beer Library. You'll find a very impressive array of 23 Portuguese beers on tap including a lot of Letra beers, which are fantastic. On top of that there's a huge bottle selection and proper beer geek staff to help you choose the beer, or 6 that's right for you. There's wooden floorboards, bare stone walls, and bookcases covered in beer bottles, so it's a seriously good looking place, in a seriously good looking city. You simply won't find more craft beer in Braga, so it has to be one of the best Braga pubs.

Se La Vie is a gorgeous bare brick covered bar with wooden floorboards, wood beam ceilings, and comfy chairs, plus the outside is on a main street looking out to the cathedral. What I'm saying is that it really is a bit of a looker. Fortunately though it's not just a pretty face as you'll find regular live music sessions, great, attentive staff, and a quality selection of bottled beers along with the usual Super Bock lager and stout on tap. Se La Vie really is one of those Braga bars with a lot of character, and a lot to offer, so it belongs on any list of the best bars in Braga.

Mal Amado is right next to Braga cathedral so I wouldn't blame you for sitting outside with your beer, but on a cold day the interior is pretty nice too. You'll find 12 wonderful craft beers on tap to choose from along with around about 100 bottles making Mal Amado an absolute must for craft beer in Braga. You'll also find wood beam ceilings and bare stone walls, which I love, along with some pretty comfy sofas. As if all this wasn't enough the staff really know their beers and are happy to help you with your order. Quite simply if you're looking for craft beer in Braga you have to come here. Certainly one of the best pubs in Braga. Oh just on a side note good luck finding the toilets!!

Braga Pubs
You'll find a reasonable selection of local lagers and wheat beers here along with a healthy selection of Belgium bottles, but really it's the people that work here that got F Beer House on the list. It's slightly out of the centre so maybe they don't get many tourists visiting, but hopefully more will make the effort after reading this. There's a nice outdoor area, and the inside is gorgeous with a sleek industrial look, wooden floor boards and a cool mural on the wall. We asked what beer was on and they bought us 5 tasters straight away along with a free shot, a guy then came out who worked in the UK pre Brexit, bad Brexit, if you voted for Brexit what were you thinking? I mean really? And now your on a site about drinking across Europe, do you see the irony? Anyway he came for a chat and really made us feel very welcome. I guess my point is this is just a lovely bar with great people working there so make sure you check it out on your craft beer in Braga pub crawl.

Dona Beer
There's no better place to end a Braga pub crawl than Dona beer. There's an absolutely massive selection of bottled beers to choose from featuring some of the best Europe has to offer plus 9 Portuguese offerings on tap. As with most the best pubs in Braga the staff are excellent and know their stuff. You're really not going to find many better Braga bars than this. The interior is nice, but on most days it's good to sit outside in the Portuguese sun and enjoy a craft beer in Braga. A really great place.
